About the Role
Penokean Hills Farms is growing! We’re looking for a versatile, creative, and data-driven Marketing Coordinator to help share our story and strengthen our expanding retail presence across Northern Ontario.
As we expand our retail presence with new butcher shops and introduce new product lines, you’ll take ownership of our ongoing advertising and content strategy. From designing campaigns and creating videos to managing analytics and supporting retail promotions, this role blends creativity with strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Advertising & Campaign Management
• Take overall responsibility for Penokean Hills Farms’ ongoing marketing and advertising campaigns, utilizing a rolling 6-month planning schedule to support sales, promotions, and brand awareness.
• Plan, design, implement, and manage print, video, and digital media strategies, defining KPIs and using data-driven insights to continuously improve campaign performance.
• Measure and report on campaign outcomes, managing budgets and collaborating with external partners or media outlets as needed.
• Stay flexible and responsive to last-minute developments, emerging trends, and seasonal opportunities.
Brand, Content, and Media Creation
• Maintain and champion Penokean Hills Farms’ brand and visual style, producing engaging marketing materials, packaging graphics, and in-store signage.
• Create, film, and edit video and photo content that highlights company initiatives, farm stories, and retail events.
• Design and manage digital and print creative assets across all channels, ensuring consistency and professional quality.
• Manage social media platforms and website content, ensuring an active, consistent presence with regular posts, visuals, and updates.
Retail & Community Marketing
• Develop and execute localized retail marketing strategies for each butcher shop, including grand openings, in-store promotions, and community campaigns.
• Oversee visual merchandising and promotional displays to ensure a cohesive in-store experience.
• Build community awareness by coordinating events, sponsorships, and collaborations with local organizations, chefs, and food influencers.
Digital Media, Analytics & Optimization
• Manage and analyze digital marketing performance (OTT, social, and web), using analytics to refine strategy and optimize ROI.
• Utilize SEO and web analytics tools to track results and generate actionable reports.
• Stay informed on emerging platforms and digital media trends to keep campaigns innovative and effective.
Collaboration & Brand Familiarity
• Develop a strong understanding of Penokean Hills Farms’ audience, operations, and objectives, collaborating closely with leadership, retail, and production teams.
• Demonstrate flexibility and initiative as the brand evolves.

Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or Public Relations, and:
• 1+ years of experience as a Marketing, Advertising, or Social Media Specialist (or similar role).
• Strong visual communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas and data through images, graphics, and video.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including editing and proofreading.
• Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop) or similar, and Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
• Familiarity with social media best practices and content creation for Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X/Twitter.
• Experience with digital media strategy for brand growth, including OTT and web analytics.
• Understanding of digital media KPIs, SEO, and web traffic metrics.
• Familiarity with web design and publishing tools.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Self-driven initiative with a “get it done” attitude; must be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in filming interviews and promotional videos for social, website and advertising
• Ability to adapt to new marketing trends, technologies, and topics with creativity and enthusiasm.
