Job Overview

As the Digital & Social Marketing Manager at Thrive Music, you will play a critical role in developing and executing digital marketing strategies that grow our artists’ online presence and engage their fanbase.

Working closely with the VP, Global Marketing, you’ll manage day-to-day social media activities, digital marketing campaigns, and collaborations with social and digital platforms to grow music consumption. This is an in-office role based in Los Angeles, ideal for someone looking to immerse themselves in a vibrant, collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, create, and post engaging content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and other emerging platforms to grow Thrive Music and our artists’ online presence.
  • Ideate and build creative digital marketing campaigns for each artist and their releases across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Discord, Snapchat, and other platforms.
  • Create trackable affiliate links for multi-tiered campaigns and initiatives while actively monitoring performance.
  • Build, maintain, and assess external marketing partnerships with social platforms, apps, and other emerging media.
  • Help grow each artist’s audience on DSPs and social media accounts, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, and Discord.
  • Oversee influencer marketing campaigns, both directly and through agencies.
  • Work closely with the marketing lead to build and manage release timelines including content rollout and digital activations.
  • Provide data-driven insights to internal and external team members, continuously refining marketing strategies to optimize audience engagement.
  • Track and analyze KPIs across social media and DSPs, monitoring campaign goals and objectives related to awareness, engagement, consumption (streams, video views), and conversion (pre-saves, D2C). Provide insights and recommendations to optimize future campaigns.
  • Lead the ideation and execution of artist and label content strategies to support pre- and post-release social engagement and growth.
  • Launch paid media campaigns, monitor advertising performance and its effect on streaming analytics.
  • Stay up to date with existing and emerging media and marketing trends, discovering new sites, accounts, creators, and outlets to promote our artists.
  • Build and manage CRM campaigns, including the design of newsletters, release announcements, SMS blasts, and DM campaigns via Mailchimp and Laylo.
  • Drive engagement and growth by executing UGC campaigns on short-form video platforms, engaging with fans and influencers, and partnering with digital creators to amplify artist visibility.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in digital marketing, social media management, or a related role, preferably at a record label.
  • A passion for electronic and dance music, with a strong understanding of the genre, its subcultures, and trends.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., TikTok, Meta, Twitch, Discord, YouTube), and analytics tools (e.g., Chartmetric, LinkFire, CO:BRAND, Spotify for Artists).
  • Basic design and content creation skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing).
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work in-office at our Los Angeles location.
